Scott Health & Safety Officially Opens New Facility
Monroe, NC - June 28, 2002 - Scott Health & Safety is proud to announce the official opening of its new 200,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, which combines nine separate operations of the company under one roof. Scott's Fire Service Marketing Manager, John Skaryak states, "This new facility will allow us to continue to solidify our position as the pioneer in our industry by housing 450 of our world-class employees under one roof." Scott is a leader in personal protection equipment for firefighters, industry and government.
John D. McStravick, Vice President, Scott Health & Safety adds, "In just the two months since we started to move into this facility, the consolidation of our people, product lines and administrative functions have lead to significant increases in our overall efficiencies and we fully expect this trend to continue over the next several months." McStravick also notes that, "Having all the employees together in this unique environment underscores our company's commitment to team morale and further enhances our philosophy that when a customer purchases a Scott product, they get more than a product they get Scott as a company."
The Monroe, NC facility is the home of Scott's Air-Paks, facepieces, thermal imaging cameras, and pass devices. Scott gas masks and tear gas canisters are manufactured here as well as nuclear, biological and chemical canisters. Also, Scott air compressors and breathing air systems are made exclusively at this new unit.
