Sometimes, detecting the toxic gas compounds used within process critical applications can pose a special challenge. The absolute need for a detection method that produces fast, reliable response to the target gas is critical for a safe and profitable operation.
For this reason Scott Health & Safety has developed a proprietary line of high performance RockSolid sensors that are fundamentally different than any typical electrochemical sensor found on the market today. RockSolid sensor use an entirely different physical and chemical make up. Standard with the Sentinel 16 is the ability to retransmit a RS-485 MODBUS RTU signal in both master and slave configurations. This allows up to 128 Sentinel 16’s to be multi-dropped onto a single data highway for interrogation by another MODBUS master. They may also be cascaded by connecting one unit’s master port to another’s slave port. In addition, optional 4-20ma output boards allow communication with remote PLC’s, DCS’, or other control devices.
